Each year, Brookfield Local Schools honors the newest members of the Brookfield Athletic Hall of Fame with a personalized award recognizing their dedication, accomplishments, and lasting contributions to Brookfield Athletics.

This year’s awards carry an especially meaningful piece of Warrior history.
More than 51 awards were created to recognize the 43 recipients in the 2026 Hall of Fame Class. Each award was crafted using material from the original light poles installed at George Nicholas Field in 1949. For decades, those light poles illuminated countless games, memorable moments, and generations of Brookfield athletes and fans. Now, a piece of that history will live on with each Hall of Fame recipient.
Brookfield students also played an important role in bringing the awards to life. Freshman Alanah Hecker and junior Theresa Emerson, pictured, worked together to assemble many of this year’s awards. Through plenty of trial and error, the students helped transform pieces of Brookfield history into lasting tributes for this year’s inductees.
The project brings together tradition, craftsmanship, and student involvement while preserving a piece of George Nicholas Field and the history of Brookfield Athletics for generations to come.
The 2026 Brookfield Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as the district celebrates this year’s class and their contributions to Warrior Athletics.
